Canterbury, PC Pays it Forward Through its Involvement in Law in the City and Attorneys Serving the Community

Beginning in 2008, The Marketing Connection introduced “Law in the City”; as a networking event that would create an opportunity for female lawyers from various areas of law practice to make professional connections and foster long-lasting relationships between themselves and local in-house counsel. Soon after the event’s inception, The Marketing Connection began to donate the proceeds from its raffle of purses and jewelry to Attorneys Serving the Community (“ASC”), a volunteer organization with approximately 400 women lawyers and law students.

ASC is a volunteer organization with almost 400 women lawyers and law students in the Dallas/Fort Worth area whose main goal is to improve the surrounding community by supporting local non-profit organizations which benefit women, children, and families.

The women of Canterbury, PC have attended “Law in The City” for several years and Canterbury, PC shareholders, Tonya Johannsen and Patty Stein have been ASC members since its inception. Canterbury’s other female attorneys have also joined ASC and participate in the biannual Law in the City Event. The next Law in the City Event is November 16, 2023, at Brookhaven Country Club from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
